An avid reader and a self-educated person, he worked for the improvement of fellow farmers, came to the attention
of the government authorities for his sympathy with the peasant movement. He would eventually join the revolutionary
movement before the Second World War. He fought against the Japanese and after the war rejoined his fellow freedom
fighters and died in the Sierra Madre mountains. His remains were never recovered. When the keeper of these records
was about two years old, Gaudencio would joyfully throw him up in the air and would catch him on his way down. This
would happen whenever he would visit his younger sister, Eufrosina, while he was being involved in the revolutionary struggle.His leader was said to be Eusebio Fajardo, a HMB organizer, and jailed in 1953 in the National Penitentiary, Muntinglupa.
Fajardo was convicted of homicide instead of his revolutionary involvement.
