A Very Brief Update on New Year 2006

It has been 3 years and 10 months since the most previous entry has been made. The trip overseas for me and my wife in Jan 2002 seemed to have become the culmination or apex of the search for my roots. This was followed by a slow downturn that has eventually reached the lowest point or trough. This must have been brought about by the lack of success on my research of the Apalit Catholic Church records. Nothing spectacular emerged from efforts to identify that particular ancestor who had made the first trek to my town of birth by crossing the creek separating the village of Balucuc in Apalit to the village of Inaon in Pulilan. Despite the great disappointment in discovering and establishing the Apalit-Pulilan connection, I turned to researching the different families in my own village that had connections with my grandparents’ surnames. This resulted in the establishment or enlargement of the family trees of Agustin, Cruz, Calderon, Caingal, Tudla, Valenzuela and others.
